- If your truck is a 1998 -2002 with an automatic or five speed manual transmission, you may choose between a SPECIAL X, PREMIUM UPGRADED 15X, UPGRADED 15X or a STANDARD 15X.
- If your truck is a 2000 or 2001 with a six speed manual transmission, with a High Output 245 HP motor or the 8th digit in the VIN is a 7, then you can ONLY use a PREMIUM UPGRADED 17X, UPGRADED 17X, or STANDARD 17X.
If the 8th digit is anything other than a 7 then you may choose a SPECIAL X, PREMIUM UPGRADED 15X, UPGRADED 15X, or a STANDARD 15X. - If your truck is a 2002 with a six speed manual transmission, it IS an HO motor, and can ONLY use a PREMIUM UPGRADED 17X, UPGRADED 17X or a STANDARD 17X.
- If your truck is any version of a Ford or Freightliner, you need to order ONLY a PREMIUM UPGRADED 16X, UPGRADED 16X, or a STANDARD 16X.

If you would like to borrow our Gear Puller to install the VP44, simply leave the option on the checkout page as it is by default. If you don't need it, just change the option to “NO”. If it is returned with the core, there will be no charge. If it is not returned with the core, you will be charged $50.00.
